Note: Spotcat just found out about this page and he's not happy. He's been banging around in his office for the last 20 minutes, and there's talk of layoffs. "Dogs are goofy" by Laurie Loosebottom Now, the whole mythos of a natural animosity between dogs and cats is just plain bunk. Here, you clearly see that our own editor in chief has had at one time a more than passing relationship with one canine.

Shown in a compromising position with a collie we have identified as "Saul", Silly has explained that she has grown tired of maintaining her ruse, and wishes to come out with the truth. What follows is an excerpt of her hastily assembled press conference not more than 20 minutes ago.
Ladies
and gentlemen, thank you for coming. I'm sure you are wondering why I've called you
all here. When I was a kitten, raised by gypsies in lower Manhatten, I was taught
how to catch a mouse. But I also learned that chicken is better than mice because
you can get it delivered. But that's not why I asked you to come here. For several years I have been fortunate to have a career that has kept me in the spotlight. I have thouroughly enjoyed my life. My stint at Apple Computers, the time I spent with Motley Crue, my World Othello Championship, and lately, my post as Editor in Chief of Absurd® Magazine. However, I have a secret that, due to irreversible circumstances, has forced me to announce something that I should have made public years ago. |
I am female. I
was born Kitty Cat, and took my honorable gypsie name Sillycat later in life. But I found
that doors were closed to me, and in a moment of weakness I masqueraded as a tom to land
my first acting job. I quietly changed my name to Spot, and have been known as the
tom Spotcat ever since. I realize that this will come as a shock to many people, not least to those who share locker space with me at the West Palmetto Golf and Tennis club. I never looked, guys. Really. In short, my relationship with Sauldog has made me realize that I have been unfair to myself, and to him by continuing the ruse of acting the tom. I'm sure my staff at Absurd® will continue to treat me with the same fear and respect I have grown to expect from them. That is all I have to say at this time. |
