Weird film! I soooooooo walked out thinking that the whole pitiful saga must have been financed by Scientologists. I’m glad others have responded similarly.So what are they telling us? That at the end-time only those who hear spooky whispers get airlifted to a new alien world? As I said-weird- plus, yes, the acting sucked.

Saw this “disaster” flick last night. Nick Cage and the kid were truly, truly awful. It started out creepy and kinda okay, then fell apart under a heap of horrible acting, nonsensical plot turns, and totally implausible plot twists. My wife and I (and most of the audience) were laughing out loud near the end. Stay away from this mess — far away. Also, I’m pretty sure this plot roughly corresponds with the Scientology creation myth. And Cage and others associated with this film are Scientologists, just for the record.
