Rose Island sits at the end of
"Devil's Backbone" on the Ohio River. It is a part
of Charlestown State Park now and it's fairly difficult to reach
if you don't have access to a boat. Destroyed in the flood
of 1937, there are still to this day faint reminders of the old
park's glory days. The ghosts of Rose Island still lurk in
these woods.
